This new game from Gearbox Software adds a twist to the familiar Borderlands style by setting it in a world similar to Dungeons & Dragons. 

This adventure resembles the experience from the Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC in Borderlands 2.

Nine years have passed since that memorable DLC, and now there is a full AAA game built around the same concept. Players can expect to enjoy plenty of shooting and looting.

While many players are eager to choose a character and begin their journey, others are wondering if they can play with friends. Cooperative gameplay is a key feature of Borderlands games.

Is Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Cross-Platform?

Luckily, those who want to play Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands with friends on different platforms can easily connect.

Gearbox Software’s Randy Pitchford announced on Twitter that players can enjoy Crossplay on all platforms, including PlayStation, thanks to cooperation with Sony.

This is great news for Borderlands fans because Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is the first game in the series to offer full Crossplay support from the start.

While Borderlands 3 had Crossplay, it wasn’t completely available until after the game’s release. In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Crossplay is fully available at launch.

The game also supports local split-screen play, meaning you can enjoy couch co-op in this new release.

PC players might manage to set up split-screen using local-play techniques, but these are not officially supported or endorsed by Gearbox Software at this time.

How to Connect with Friends via Crossplay In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands?

To begin Crossplay in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, first set up a SHiFT account.

This service by Gearbox Software is back with their new game, allowing players to connect and play together in one unified place.

After setting up your SHiFT account, you can start Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and join the adventure.

To invite friends, just click the Social Button, marked with three little person icons, in the top right corner of the screen.

Players can select friends they have added to invite into the lobby. After that, they can start their adventure together.

They can also go to the Matchmaking area in the Social section. This lets them join other players who are at similar points in the story.

This way, players can meet other fans of Borderlands and possibly make new friends.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands was released on March 25th, 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
