Cross-play is only available in Online Seasons and Online Friendlies in FIFA 22. EA will use this data and feedback to develop future cross-play features. Expect limited cross-play in FIFA 22, but future FIFA games may include more cross-play options in future. 

EA has limited the test to two modes to avoid new bugs in the game. Cross-play may stay limited in FIFA 22, but future titles will likely get full benefits.

How to enable cross-play in FIFA 22?

Enabling cross-play is simple. Once activated, anyone can join your game. Just follow the steps below

• Go to FIFA 22’s main menu.
• Press RT on Xbox One/Series X|S or R2 on PlayStation 4/5.
• Go to the Friends tab.
• If your friend isn’t added, add them:

1. Press Y on Xbox One/Series X|S or Triangle on PlayStation 4/5.
2.  Enter your friend’s Xbox Live Gamertag or PSN ID.

• Highlight any name on the list.
• Press X on Xbox One/Series X|S or Square on PlayStation 4/5.
• Select the Enable Cross-Play option.

The cross-play features stay active even when you’re not playing with friends. If you only want to cross-play with friends, you’ll need to turn it off every time you stop playing with them. To turn it off, follow the same steps and select Disable Cross-Play.
