In this game, players take on the role of modern farmers, engaging in various activities related to agriculture, animal husbandry, and forestry.

In the last generation of game consoles, we saw more cross-platform multiplayer.

Games like Rocket League and Overwatch allowed players from different platforms to play together, creating a bigger and stronger player base and now, the players are curious whether Farming Simulator 22 has cross-platform functionality or not.

Is Farming Simulator 22 Crossplatform?

Yes, Farming Simulator 22 is a new game that will support cross-platform multiplayer.

It launches on November 22 and will connect players on Xbox Series, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

Boris Stefan, the Publishing Head at GIANTS Software, states that adding crossplay marks a significant advancement in multiplayer for their Farming Simulator series.

It has also been shown that Farming Simulator 22 will have more ways to customize things, making every virtual farmer feel special.

This includes new models of players, hairstyles, clothes, and accessories.

Some of the clothes are from well-known brands like Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, and John Deere.

Tips for Playing Co-Op Games with Friends

NOTE: Farming Simulator 22 supports Crossplay. This lets you play with users on Xbox One, PS4, Stadia, Xbox Series X/S, Mac, PS5, PC.

Start your multiplayer game by selecting the Multiplayer tab in the main menu.

Here, you’ll see two choices: ‘Join Game’ and ‘Create Game’.

Engage in Live Game Sessions

Clicking on Join Game will show you a list of active games you can join, including your friends’ games.

To find a particular server, search by the game name. Make sure to ask your friends for the server name first!

There are several search options you can use to filter results, such as Game Map, servers with a password, servers with DLC, and an option to turn off crossplay if needed.

Set Up a Brand New Server

The ‘Create Game’ screen has similar settings to the ‘Join Game’ screen. You can name the server, set a password for privacy, turn on or off cross-play, and choose to allow only friends to join.

This last option typically applies to the platform you are using.

After setting up the server, creating your character, and entering the game, go to the Farm Management tab in the pause menu.

Here, a button will appear that lets you invite friends to the server. This button is shown in the bottom left of the UI, as seen in the image below:

Once your friends join, you can start enjoying everything Farming Simulator 22 has to offer together!
