Is Evil Dead The Game Crossplay?

Multiplayer is central to the newest video game rendition of the franchise. Saber Interactive’s team drew inspiration from the Necronomicon, the movies, and the TV series of Evil Dead.

Expect chainsaws, gore, one-liners, and possessed cars. The story involves Professor Knowby summoning everyone who has ever known Ash, which is perfect since an army of evil is approaching.

Evil Dead: The Game took its time with introducing single-player mode, but playing with friends has always been a big part of the game’s appeal. Unless you plan to play solo in a creepy cabin, you’ll probably spend a lot of time in multiplayer. 

While you’ll be slaying many Deadites, there are still important questions about the multiplayer mode that need answers.

Is Evil Dead The Game Crossplay?

We’ve got great news for those with friends on different platforms! Evil Dead: The Game offers crossplay, allowing players to join forces against the Deadites regardless of their platform.

Evil Dead: The Game is available on Win PC and gaming consoles, with a Switch release planned, although not at launch.

Another positive aspect is the ability to toggle crossplay on or off easily. Simply navigate to Settings from the main menu, then select the Game tab from the left side. The first choice is Crossplay.

You can select or deselect it to enable or disable it. Matchmaking choices are good for players, especially when you want to team up to fight ancient monsters. Be careful, though. No matter what device others use, ghosts can still be a big problem.

How To Activate Evil Dead: The Game Coop Multiplayer?

Yes, Evil Dead: The Game has co-op multiplayer, but not everyone works together. One player controls a Demon, trying to sabotage the other players.

Like Dead by Daylight, it’s a four versus one setup. However, unlike other games, the survivors are stronger and focus more on fighting than sneaking.

The survivors can choose characters like Ash, Arthur, and Pablo, each with unique abilities and starting gear. During a match, they improve their abilities and find upgrades to help them survive against the Deadites.

The survivors’ goal is to find Necronomicon pages and eventually banish the Kandarian Demon.

On the Evil side, players choose from various Demons, each with unique abilities and the ability to summon different types of enemies.

They roam the map, gathering resources to strengthen themselves and setting traps to eliminate the four survivors. When ready or presented with an opportunity, they can even directly confront the other players by spawning in themselves.
